Come & Play a Memorable Game
Golf Highland is a collective of over 30 different golf clubs & courses across the Highlands of Scotland. It’s run by a committed group of volunteer golfing enthusiasts who have come together to raise awareness of the sport, the diverse courses and spectacular scenery in this legendary part of the British Isles.
Pick your course or set out on a golf pilgrimage to play them all – or as many as you can. You’ll find Golf Highland’s member clubs in Caithness, Inverness, Lochaber, Nairn, Ross-Shire, Skye, Speyside, and Sutherland.
Visitors are warmly welcomed at all of Golf Highland’s clubs. Just make sure you book a tee-time in advance through the clubs you choose to play at, and you are guaranteed to make glorious golfing memories in the land where the game originated.
Proud Golfing Heritage & History
Golf Highland’s collection of courses are all golfing gems, historically significant for one reason or another, and mostly offering unique and varied challenges with the undulating setting of the Highland landscape, or the sand-traps of the Firth-side links.
Play old, original courses designed by golfing greats. Strathpeffer Spa and Tain, for example, were laid out by “The Grand Old Man of Golf”, Old Tom Morris from St Andrews in the 1880s, while Nairn Dunbar and Inverness owe their origins to James Braid, who won The Open Championship five times in the early 20th century.
The modern game of golf was born in 15th century Scotland and remains a part of Highland culture. When you play one or more of this collection of over 30 Highland golf courses, you’ll be able to enjoy the region’s other great attractions too – Highland whisky, stunning scenery and warm, welcoming hospitality.
