Situated in the beautiful village of Nethy Bridge, Abernethy Golf Club is in the heart of the Highlands between Aviemore and Grantown-on-Spey on the B970. Abernethy is a traditional 9 hole Highland golf course, built on natural moorland, surrounded by majestic pine trees, and home to a wide range of flora and fauna.
Our course is suitable for golfers of all standards and experience. Families and visitors looking for a casual game are welcome while low handicappers will face a possibly unexpected challenge. Accuracy and course management are key to avoid our extensive natural hazards, plus a few man-made ones. But wherever you are on the course, take the time to enjoy the spectacular and peaceful Highland surroundings.

The club has a full programme of individual and team competitions, as well as active Senior, Ladies and Junior Sections. All welcome.
We are a dog friendly club – well behaved dogs are allowed to accompany golfers on the course but not allowed in the Clubhouse.
Clubhouse Opening times:
The clubhouse is staffed by volunteers so opening times vary. When open we serve light snacks (teas, coffees, soup, confectionary). Please contact the club oninfo@abernethygolfclub.com for group bookings including catering.
Course Opening Times:
The course is open during daylight hours. Booking and payment can be made:
- online at abernethygolfclub.com or on the Scottish Golf app
- to the steward at the clubhouse
- via an honesty box system (when the no steward is on duty), or by Sum Up.
