The Club
Newtonmore must be the friendliest and most picturesque golf course in Scotland, boasting magnificent views of the Grampian and Monadliadh Mountains with the River Spey bounding the 10th hole and a comprehensive selection of refreshments in the club house.
The club was formed in 1893 and the course measures a modest 6031yds par 70 but the wide, easy walking fairways are bounded by rough which hosts a colourful array of wild flowers including orchids, while overhead fly our winged friends from the tiny Gold Crest to the Lapwing and majestic Osprey and you may even be lucky enough to see a Salmon leaping, or an Otter on the banks of the Spey.
The subtle greens and fairways are beautifully manicured and will prove a true test for golfers of all standards and after a game, the bar and catering facilities will replenish your reserves, ready to have a second round to sample all of the sights again.
The Club hosts several Open Competitions through the year including our Golf Week, now in its sixth decade, which takes place in the first week of August, and Super Thursday Golf at £10 a round. The Club also welcomes visiting parties and offers favourable packages including green fees and catering, tailored to suit requirements. All details are available on the club website www.newtonmoregolf.com or by telephoning the office on 01540 673878. Finally, and to whet your appetite, click on our webcam via the website which shows the view from the first tee and then book your visit.
