The Club

Bonar Bridge & Ardgay Golf Club is a jewel of a nine hole golf course in the Highlands of Scotland. Peter Alliss described the course as a "Mini Gleneagles", praise indeed. The course is set in the most spectacular scenery in Sutherland with rolling hills, purple heather, Scots Pines with views over Loch Migdale. Although not long 5162 yds, don't let this fool you if you think it's going to be a doddle, think again, take the driver out at your peril. The course is tight with 9 very different holes but if you keep it straight a good score is there for the taking. The picturess 3rd takes in views of Loch Migdale from a raised tee, take the wrong club and a watery grave awaits your ball.

The long par 5 fifth is a challenge for all golfers, doglegged and then uphill will test all your skills. Don't let the tight tree lined 6th par 3 phase you or the mounded green on the 7th, many a shot goes begging on these holes. Over the hill to the 9th, forget the out of bounds or the trees it might spoil your drive. A warm welcome awaits you at the 19th in the cosy clubhouse with Lowecroft catering providing meals from April - October. Clubs, trolleys and a buggy are available. Nets and a putting green are available for that all important warm up. Come and gives us a try, you won't be disappointed, and that's a promise.
