About Lochcarron Golf Club

Lochcarron Golf Club is situated as the name suggests deep in the heart of the Scottish Highlands on the shores of Lochcarron.

A 9 hole course founded in 1908 when two local landowners agreed to allow land to be developed for the purpose of playing golf.

Lochcarron village is steeped in Highland history as home to the famous Lochcarron weavers. Recognised as the home of  Scotland’s leading kilt and tartan manufacturers, Lochcarron of Scotland.

The course consists mainly of 9 challenging holes surrounded by Highland beauty set in Wester Ross.  Little has changed since its original design with the shores of Lochcarron as a boundary and Strathcarron’s mountains painting a dramatic backdrop.

Its hole names such as Johnny’s seat, Churchyard, Burnside and Berwyn’s Bunker all add to the uniqueness of the Highland venue.

Whether your option is to play 9 holes stretching over 1782 yards or 18 holes adding 1823 yards then Lochcarron Golf Club provides an opportunity for the Golfer to still play and dwell on a golf course as almost set out 120 years ago.

Green fees can be paid at the Clubhouse which also offers highland hospitality with food and drinks available or pay via an honesty box out of hours.

Enjoy Lochcarron Golf Club , an opportunity to golf in a venue still in its origins of golf design over 100 years old.
